Power Dialog 2016 - Michigan

Michigan State University's Sustainability department invites you to participate and help lead in a national dialog on energy being hosted at universities across the United States.

The week of April 4th, 2016, The Power Dialog will engage approximately 10,000 students in face-to-face dialog with state-level regulators and policy experts in all fifty states. The topic? What is Michigan doing to support the U.S. Climate Commitment in Paris.

Michigan's Power Dialog event will be hosted on the campus of Michigan State University. The event will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Life Science Building at MSU. Students from colleges and universities across the state of Michigan studying energy and environmental policy are invited to attend and participate in this important discussion. Students may register themselves, or faculty may register students from their classes. Parking will be available in Lot 100 on Service Rd. next to the Radiology Building,

The dialog model is simple: A two-hour conversation (2 - 4 p.m.) with state energy policy experts and officials that influence or implement planning for energy use in Michigan and students from classes across the state who have been studying elements of energy policy in their courses. This is not a lobbying or advocacy event, but rather a way to engage our students in a unique and important learning opportunity. Networking, refreshments and conversation can follow the event until 5 p.m.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking will be available in Lot 100 on Service Rd. next to the Radiology Building, This is about a .4 of a mile walk to the Life Science Building. Parking validation tickets will be handed out at the event. Handicap parking is available in front of the Life Science Building on Bogue Street. Please consider carpooling to the event to reduce your carbon footprint!

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you may change or cancel your registration. Registration closes on Sunday, April 2.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, please save the environment and don't bring a printed copy.
